Rocket Design Software

These are various programs I have found useful. This software icludes rocketry and building rockets. Most of these rocketry programs can be found on the web. I put the programs I use and or like here.

RocCad - Rocket Altitude Prediction & Coefficient of Drag and Center of Pressure Size:173k Type: Freeware
Description: This program predicts the altitude a rocket may fly given the performance parameters of the motor and the physical characteristics of the rocket. The program also determines the optimum weight of a rocket to achieve maximum altitude. Additionally, the program can estimate the coefficient of drag (Cd) and the centre of pressure (Cp) of a rocket, based on the rocket's geometry. Includes performance parameters for the PVC "G" and PVC "H" motors.
Rocksim -Rocket Design and Simulation Size: Type: Demo

Description: Rocksim is a must if your are going to build scratch built rockets. It allows you to design rockets using a data base of current manufactures parts. Once you have your rocket designed, you can simulate the flight using the motor database. These databases allow for updates and user input for new items and things you build. You can also print out templates and a parts list.
VCP - Visual Center of Pressure Size: 633k Type: Freeware
Description: The VCP (Visual Center of Pressure) is a Center of Pressure/Center of Gravity stability calculator for Windows. Its spreadsheet-style operation permits easy quick looks at what-if tradeoffs when designing rockets, and its graphic display ensures data entry accuracy.
WRASP - Windows Rocket Altitude Simulation Program Size: 1,360k Type: Freeware
Description: wRASP is a Windows program that simulates the flight of a rocket in one dimension (one degree-of-freedom). It can be used to get an idea of how high a rocket kit might fly with a particular motor and what the best ejection delay time might be.wRASP is an adaptation of the venerable RASP program for DOS that was based on the BASIC program by Harry Stine in 1979 from "Handbook of Model Rocketry".

Rocket Tools - Rocket program with 5 different items to use in rocketry. Size 1.6 Meg Type: Freeware. Here is a great little program to have. It has 5 different tools such as: Black Powder calculator, parachute size calculator, descent rate calculator, Drift calculator and a units converter by Jack Anderson.
