CERG July 2006

up

First off thanks to Joe H and NCR for allowing us to use some of the equipment. Thanks to Ed D for staying the night so we didn't have to set it up. Thanks to Eric P for playing LCO and to everyone else who came out. It turned out that the weather was great first thing in the morning with hardly any wind lots of sun and no clouds. About 30 people came out to watch, help or fly. I think there was around 30 flights as well ranging from F motors up to an N motor in Art's BAMF rocket. There where several AP motors and AN motors flown and it was just an all around good flying day.

As the day went on, the wind started to pick up so we stopped flying about 12:30 and packed up to go home about 1:00pm. Ed started off the day with the first rocket off the pad at 8:00 am. Jack F. had a real nice boost on an APCP ex motor that burned for 10 seconds and carried the rocket to estimated 16,000 feet. He found the chute, but no rocket so he is still looking for it. I flew Johnny Bravo on a 54mm 5 grain TT Hot K1300 to 5796 feet, Sky Ruler on a 38mm 4 grain Sky Blue I 569 to 2200 feet and Epic-One flew to about 3000 on a H165R. Epic P flew several rockets on his ANCP motors. Don, Joe, Conway, Steve and Chris flew several commercial motors as well.

Since I was busy with the launch and prepping rockets I did not get any pictures or videos. Don S did get a few of both and Dave H is also sending me a couple.
