Well the CEG Nov 5th launch was a great success. The weather was very nice with a temp starting about 40 degrees in the morning up to 67 degrees at 1:00 when we left with very slight winds. No clouds in the sky so it was a great flying day. Several people showed up. Joe and Art stayed overnight as well as Eric and Dale. Steve and Chris, Mark, Bob, Cliff and his friend showed up later that day.
There where both commercial and ex motors that flew. I flew three APCP motors, Eric flew one ap and two AN motors. Mark flew one AN motor and Cliff flew six AP motors. Troy, Steve and Chris flew commercial motors.
I really was out flying to test the new flight computer om my sons Killer rocket which weighs just a bit over 5 lbs. The first flight I used christmas tree bulb ejection which just did not work. The charges never fired, but it was not the computers fault. The rocket came in on a flat spin and landed just right. There was slight damage to the body tube, but with a little glue, it was flyable. The first motor was my Skyblue propellant a I242 four grain 38mm motor with a great boost to 2412. So I loaded up the next motor with my Sunrise propellant an I287 four grain 38mm for another great boost to 2192. This time the rocket charges worked great and the chute deployed like it should. The last motor was another Skyblue I242 with a boost to 2355. Again another great flight. The flgiht computer worked great once I fixed the ejection charge issue. I look forward to using the features of this flight computer in other rockets.

The first and third pictures show the flight profile and the second and fourth show the motor thust curves.

The day was great to see research friends and just a great flying day.
