MB Rocketry - Projects - Dually - Part 3

I was doing some other fiberglass on the Tall Daddy rocket, so I decided while I had the stuff out and I already had the body tube, that I would go ahead and glass it. I glassed it with some 3.1 tight weave fiberglass that I had left over from another project. I started by using 80 grit sandpaper on the body tube so the epoxy would hold better. I gave it a double wrap and let it setup for a bout 1/2 an hour. Then I applied electrical tape across the entire body tube. I had done this before and I liked the way it turned out, so I did it to this body tube. The next morning I pealed the tape off and cut off the excess glass from the ends and it turned out great. No bubbles and a semi smooth surface. I also put on the finish coat for the BT. Now it just needs some sanding. I sanded the body tube and got it ready for paint. I needed to drill the pressure relief hole and did so close to the nose cone. It is almost ready for paint. Using some joint compound filler, I finished up the body to be ready for paint, Sanding is always so fun.
