The rocket is almost ready for painting. I used Bondo to prep the fin can and BT to get it ready for paint. I bought a Dremal 6000 contour sander and all I can say is WOW. How did I ever do any rocket sanding without it? After finishing up with the sanding and filling and sanding, I was able to prime the parts with Kilts primer and check the parts for additional high and low spot that got filled with filler. Next I painted the rocket with primer. After sanding the primer with 220 grit sand paper, I painted the rocket with a white base coat with some red and blue overlays. I just sprayed these on without any tape. I like just trying out different things and it came out nice.
