MB Rocketry - Projects - Johnny Bravo - Part 1

Most of the parts used to build this rocket were bough from the local hobby shop. I had two 3.9-inch LOC tubes and a 3.9-inch ACE nose cone. The motor mount is a LOC 2.14-inch tube (54mm) with 3 LOC 3.9-inch to 2.14-inch centering rings. The fins where custom cut from 3/16ths-inch aircraft birch plywood. The bulkhead was made from 3/16ths-inch birch plywood for the altimeter section that were custom cut to fit the no-name 38mm tube I had lying around. The launch lugs are 1/4 rail guides I picked up from 42nd dimensions (http://www.42nd-dimension.com/rocketry/railbuttons.html). I made the 60-inch main parachute out of 2.5 oz nylon with 1/16 inch braided nylon cord. The shock cord is a 15 foot piece of 1 inch tubular nylon. I picked up the chute nylon material at Wal-Mart on sale and it only cost me less than 6 dollars to make. The tubular nylon was purchased at REI outdoor stores for $0.15 foot on sale.
