MB Rocketry - Projects - Tall Daddy

My first level three project, called Tall Daddy, is a scratch built 4 inch rocket that is 7'4" inches tall and weighs 30 pounds with the motor. It will have dual deployment chutes (One 43 inch drogue and a 140 inch main) with two Missile Works RRC2 altimeters. Estimated altitude is just over 16,200 feet. It has the anti-zipper designed fin can and separates at the back. The body tubes will get a double wrap of 6.0 oz glass and the fin can will also be glassed. The motor mount tube is a 75mm PML 3 inch tube to accept the Dr Rocket 75/6400 case for the M1315W reload. Update: Tall Daddy is no longer with us. My first level 3 attempt didn't quit make it as the forward closure (unknown reason) blew out and went right up through the top of the rocket during powered accent. I have a great video of it in the media section.
